The Russian Team won the European Grappling Championship in Dagestan

In the European Grappling Championship competitions the Russian Team , which is mostly represented by the Dagestan wrestlers became the champion in the overall standings, ahead of more than 130 athletes from 14 countries.

The Russian Team won 21 gold medals out of 26 possible.

As noted by the President of the United Would Grappling Committee Rizwan Bochkarev, all expectations were met, with the exception of one weight category to 77 kg, where was a very strong competitor from Spain.
